Golden Rooster Award - Movie Celebrities gathering at Sanya China in November

The China 14th Golden Rooster and Hundred Flower Film Festival will take place in Sanya, Hainan from November 9 to 12, 2005 . It is the second large scale event hosted in Sanya, best known as the “Oriental Hawaii” of China, which earlier this year also hosted the TCL Golf Classic.

Sanya Marriott Resort & Spa has been named the Exclusive Host Hotel for Movie Celebrities for the Film Festival. The resort will be swarmed by movie celebrities from mainland China, Hongkong, Taiwan and Macau during that time.

Besides the gala Awards Night November 12, the exciting program includes a welcome cocktail on November 9. More than 1,000 movie celebrities, e.g. famous actors, actresses, directors, etc. are invited to Sanya Marriott Resort & Spa on that night. The whole program will focus on the theme of Hainan Culture and will include a live broadcast by CCTV6 throughout China.

Since successfully receiving golfers from the Asian and European tour in March, Sanya Marriott Resort & Spa has showcased its facilities and services globally. The Golden Rooster and Hundred Flower is one of the top Chinese film awards. For the first time, it will include Hongkong produced movies this year and movie stars and directors from Hongkong will be nominated for individual awards as well.
